I'm a member of the Drupal Association. Are you?
When I became self-employed, a little over two months ago, I decided to donate money to the open source projects that help me during my day-to-day activities. Just like Eclipse, Drupal has helped me a lot during the past few months.
So far, my contributions back to the community have been very limited. It takes a while to become familiar with the Drupal platform and all the different communication channels. Hopefully I'll be able to make 'real' contributions in the near future.
In the meantime, my membership of the Drupal Association should make up for all the bandwidth consumed while downloading all those useful modules or searching the groups and forums for interesting tips and tricks.
If you benefit from Drupal, one way or another, you too should consider to become a member of the Drupal Association. It will help the project to grow in the future.
My sincere thanks to everybody who made Drupal happen.

I fully agree, become member of the Drupal Association is a nice way to say thank you and so I did as well.
Same like you I'm a small contributor, code-wise. In my opinion the Drupal Associating is a perfect alternative to show our support for this great community for those who are unable to produce code on this high-level or don't have the time for that.
