If you have a Belgian VAT number you are eligible to receive a free eID reader courtesy of Fedict.
Datanews explains that you only need to send an email to servicedesk@fedict.be and mention "elektronische BTW-aangifte", your company name, VAT number and shipping address. Easy as pie.
I couldn't find any confirmation on the Fedict site nor on the eID site but I'll request one anyway.

I can confirm that it is possible if you have a company and a VAT number to receive an eID-cardreader for free. Please mention in the subject of your mail "gratis eID kaartlezer voor BTW-aangifte" and in the body your address and VAT-number. You will receive your cardreader in the next weeks. Be aware that this action is limited, so order soon.
